Our Chapter History
The Twelve Days of Christmas, Inc. New York City Chapter was founded in 2010 by Kendahl Lauren Lucas, daughter of founder Gayla Gardner. Kendahl, along with six dynamic women hosted a holiday party, which sponsored three local families. Their successful “Party with a Purpose” fundraiser provided Christmas cheer to children across all five boroughs. Our holiday event has grown to host over 200 people in New York City’s most famed venues and service families from all over Manhattan. In 2015, we held our Inaugural Back to School Benefit to kick off the academic year by providing Twelve Days Families with school supplies. This year, we will continue to build on the legacy of Twelve Days as we spread Christmas joy by sharing our blessings with others.
Message From The President
Stacey Younge ― New York Chapter President
Welcome to the New York City Chapter of the Twelve Days of Christmas, Incorporated! The commitment of our hostesses and supporters exemplify the meaning of the proverb: “to whom much is given, much will be required.” Because of this, we will celebrate our sixth year of sharing our blessings with deserving New York City families in 2015.
The journey to this milestone has been abundantly rewarding. Our Chapter served more families in 2014 than ever before, and we look forward to exceeding that success in the year ahead. In summer of 2015, we held our Inaugural Back to School Benefit and were able to provide back to school backpacks filled with supplies for our Twelve Days families.
As we continue to thrive in support of others, we deliver heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all of those who have supported our initiatives and for being a part of our story – remembering the true meaning of Christmas throughout the year and making a difference through the gift of giving.
