Our Chapter History

It all began in 1999 when a mother daughter team – Gayla Gardner and Donya Gardner Campbell – along with 10 of their close friends, decided to ring in the new millennium by sharing their many blessings with underprivileged families. Since then, the charitable efforts have spread from Houston, Texas to across the state lines with chapters now in California, Illinois, New York, Georgia  and the District of Columbia.

Message From The President

Antonia (Toni) Altemus ― Houston Chapter President

As we celebrate 20 years of service and excellence, I am extremely honored to be serving as the 5th Houston Chapter President of Twelve Days of Christmas, Inc. I am proud to serve as president of the founding chapter and the 30 dedicated women who believe in the mission of The Twelve Days of Christmas, Inc. We have remained steadfast in our mission of providing support for children and families throughout the Houston metropolitan area. What started out as providing staples during the Christmas Holidays has expanded to “Christmas in July” providing school supplies and clothing to children in need to community service as well as serving the community in times of need, including the most recent challenge in Houston, Hurricane Harvey.   We recently completed our annual Christmas in July event helping over 100 children get ready for the school year with school supplies and school clothing. I am blessed to have a talented executive team that is committed to our mission.

The Houston Chapter of Twelve Days of Christmas, Inc will continue remain dedicated to the families and children of Houston and each of believe it is an honor to share our blessings. We will continue promote  community involvement and identify the needs of Houston and where we can offer support. Our Chapter’s achievements would not be possible without the extraordinary generosity of our supporters – both individuals and corporations. We deliver heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all of them on behalf of the many families we serve.
